- Instructors to work in its after-school, academic enrichment program for the Washington, D.C
The Alcanzando Metas Foundation is non-profit organization looking for instructors to work in its after-school, academic enrichment program for the Washington, D.C. Public Schools. The program helps Hispanic girls with academic achievement and English language skills. There are positions available at three middle schools and three high schools in the District, with instructors teaching four hours per week on Monday-Wednesdays or Tuesday-Thursdays. Programs are scheduled to run from 3:30-5:30 p.m. both days.
Ideal candidates have teaching experience in mathematics or science with ESOL certification, plus bilingual in Spanish/English. Candidates with ESOL backgrounds and experience doing content-based instruction also accepted. Prefer some after-school program experience and familiarity with Hispanic learners.
