| After-School Program Description
Alcanzando Metas offers an after-school program that meets once per week at designated high schools. The program meets for two hours each time. Meetings last throughout an entire school semester. For information about high schools in DC schools click here and Middle Schools click here .
The program requires students to bring books and materials from their science and mathematics classes with them, as the program coordinates carefully with daytime academics. Each meeting features:
-
Application of Alcanzando Metas Habits
-
English language training
-
work with mentors to solve literacy, mathematics, and science problems
Alcanzando Metas strives for nurturing independent learners who manage, direct, and take accountability for their academic progress. The aim of the after-school program is to promote academic progress through effective study and communication habits.
